A message from Chair Katy Gardener
Hi all.
FOPP will be having a very belated AGM on Sunday 7th August. We hope you can come.
You may remember that in January I sent out an email to say we had just rolled over the Executive members who wanted to carry on and we have been joined by Laura Prior who has organised us fantastically over the last 6 months. You will have received the FOPP newsletter from her. So
we won't be electing anyone at AGM but we just need those who attend to agree formally the exec who are:
Liis Davidson , secretary
Laura Prior, admin
Jon Wolf, treasurer
and me as Chair.
This is a slimmed down but very hardworking exec. However, if anyone would like to join the exec and can put in time and effort that would be great. Please contact me directly on 07810768745 or on katyagardner@btinternet.com ASAP. Thanks!
Before our Next AGM we will need to elect an Exec and Chair as usual, assuming Covid does not derail us again.
The account summary and annual report can be found at Friends of Princes Park L8
FOPP accounts are healthy with £1800 in account on 11 July. At present money is going in and out as we pay for the Paxton memorial but we are confident this will all be paid for by the Autumn.
The AGM will be very brief, but will include an update of FOPP activities .Please bring your own picnic. We will be volunteering as usual in the morning.
After the picnic we will be doing some kite making, as we hope to fly kites in the park in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan on Saturday 20th August . More info on 7th August. If possible bring string, scissors, Sellotape, and any recycled soft plastic to make kites with (but w will have some on the day)
