Park trees
Friends of Princes PArk

Tree project

For a number of years the Friends have organised walks through the Park aimed at telling people more about the trees of the Park. In recent years we have planted a vast number of specimen trees under the direction and guidance of Dave Cornick a well known local tree surgeon. As the the walks needed some research about the trees it was suggested that we post details on our website explaining the features of different species using the research material.
This has developed from us placing laminated tree numbers on the most interesting trees, to us recently setting numbered posts by them with the tree number and QR code for smartphone use. Simply scanning the QR code will take the user to a directory page from where they can navigate to the appropriate tree number.  This page follows the progress of the Tree Marker Post Project.
